The Person Behind This Site

This trail existed
before this company did.

I walked the Mardi Himal trail in 2024 before I built Dunkery Yatra. Not as research — I’d been planning to go for years. The morning I reached High Camp at 3,580 metres and watched the cloud layer sit 600 metres below me with Machhapuchhre glowing in the early light, I made a decision.

Every photograph on this page is mine. Every altitude was verified against the trail signage I photographed along the way. When I say “here’s what to expect,” I mean it literally — I stood in those exact spots.

The rest of the 20 treks I know from research, from local guides, and from the people I work with on the ground. But Mardi Himal — this one I know from being there.
